App Quality Alliance Gives Seal of Approval to Golden Gekko

01/07/2014

App Quality Alliance (AQuA), the mobile industry’s organization supporting quality app development today announced the addition of leading app developer Golden Gekko, the mobile application solution branch of the DMI family, to its ranks of members, and granted it Trusted Status.

The Trusted Status endorsement means that Golden Gekko’s services and QA practices have been assessed, validated and endorsed by AQuA in a stringent process that ensures only the highest quality output.

‘‘As apps become more critical to business in addition to being widely used by consumers, AQuA is constantly being approached to vet existing apps and app suppliers and recommend good developers." said Martin Wrigley, Executive Director, AQuA.  "Golden Gekko’s approach of agile software development life and iterative QA processes demonstrated that they share our vision when it comes to developing real quality in the app market, and we’re very pleased that they have become the first developer to achieve the AQuA Trusted Status level.’’

AQuA Trusted Status is awarded to those members with a history of quality and a reputation for excellence and reliability and allows them to post details of all their apps into the Quality App Directory, the industry’s sole source of vetted quality apps, without needing to be tested by a 3rd party test house. It cannot be bought but rather indicates that AQuA has vetted the developer and trust it to maintain its high levels of quality when developing applications.

In addition to listing in the Quality App Directory, Trusted Status members have access to a range of benefits including involvement in the AQuA Board (run by Core members AT&T, LG, Motorola, Nokia, Oracle, and Samsung), ability to lead or input into industry projects, enhanced listing on the AQuA site, extensive promotion by AQuA and the use of the ‘Endorsed by AQuA’ badge.

"Quality of testing is the difference between success and failure for mobile apps as customer demand on quality and complexity keeps increasing. AQuA has really set the bar for quality across the mobile industry." said Magnus Jern, Founder and CEO, Golden Gekko (DMI-MAS).
